Return to Play – January 2, 2022
Submitted By Brad Eveniss on Thursday, December 30, 2021
We are excited to announce that the OCHL will be returning to its regularly scheduled  programming on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

In order to keep our players, volunteers, officials and families safe, it is important that everyone  follows public health guidelines, which include:

- Masks must be worn at all times in the arena – only players and referees can remove  their masks as they are about to take the ice

- Use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the arena

- Stay socially distant while inside the arena

- Please exit the arena as soon as you are able (don’t loiter in the lobby of the arena)
- For our younger divisions, players should come to the arena fully dressed. Parents  tying skates should exit the dressing room as soon as they are finished.

Most important, if you are sick, please stay home and follow the Province of  Ontario’s updated guidelines for testing and isolation.

If you are unclear about the updated guidelines, awaiting test results, have tested positive or have  any questions, please reach out directly to our Covid Officer at [email protected].

If you are uncomfortable returning to hockey in the current environment, the OCHL completely  supports that decision. Please reach out to your convenor to discuss next steps.

Just a reminder that as of January 4, only QR codes will be accepted as proof of vaccination to  enter the arena. As well, everyone (including players 12 and over) will be asked to show proof of  vaccine and ID.

Thank you again for your patience and we are excited to see everyone back on the ice!

Covid Officer
